Theodore Oto Bruno MD

Theodore Oto Bruno, MD, President and Chief Medical Officer at The France Foundation graduated from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed his family practice residency with the Middlesex Family Practice Residency program in Middletown, Connecticut.

Dr. Bruno has been directly involved in certified medical education since 2000. He joined The France Foundation in 2006 as Vice President of Medical Information Services and Director of Continuing Medical Education and currently serves as President and Chief Medical Officer. The France Foundation is a jointly accredited provider of CE. At The France Foundation, Dr. Bruno has been involved in all facets of educational planning and implementation, including overseeing medical content and directing the planning and compliance of all activities.

Most recently, he has been directly involved with educational collaborations and partnerships, including collaborative performance-based education. Prior to his involvement in certified medical education, Dr. Bruno spent ten years as a practicing board-certified family physician with Kaiser Permanente/CT Health Partners Medical Group in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. In Permanente Medical Group, he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and as a Physician Team Leader. During his tenure at Kaiser, Dr. Bruno also served as Physician in Charge, Clinical Pharmacy Chief, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics Co-Chair.

Dr. Bruno is a current member of the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (ACEHP) and has served on the ACEHP Finance Committee as chair of the Foundation for Continuing Education in the Health Professions QIE task force.
