Terence Okeeffe MD, CHB, FACS

Dr. O’Keeffe leads the division of Trauma/EGS/SCC at AU. After his medical education in Scotland, Dr. O’Keeffe did a trauma fellowship at Ryder Trauma Center in Miami. He has had a distinguished career and has a national reputation for clinical and research excellence within the field. He served as the SCCM Surgical Section Chair from 2020-2021. O’Keeffe joined the University of Arizona faculty in 2008 and served as interim trauma chief from 2016-18. He also served as chief of staff for Banner-University Medical Center Tucson from 2016-18.

MCG’s new trauma chief is on the editorial board of the Journal of Surgical Research and the advisory board of the European Journal of Trauma and Emergency Surgery.
