Teofilo Vasconcelos MSc, PharmD

Mr. Teofilo Vasconcelos, a Portuguese National, was born in Oporto, Portugal. He received both his Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and his MSc in Pharmaceutical Technology from Oporto University. He joined BIAL - Portela & Cª, S.A., Trofa, Portugal, in 2002 and since then he has been working in the Pharmaceutical Development of New Chemical Entities and New Drug Products. He is assigned to pre-formulation, formulation, scale-up and technology transfer tasks. Mr Teofilo Vasconcelos is the author of several publications and the Principal Investigator in some formulation patents. In last year’s he has dedicated part of his research to the development of strategies to improve the bioavailability of poor water-soluble drugs.
