Dr. Youn, is a fellowship-trained neurointensivist who recently completed fellowship training in both neurocritical care and vascular neurology at Yale New-Haven Hospital. Dr. Youn also completed his residency training at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. He finished both his undergraduate and medical school training at Brown University as a part of the combined undergraduate-medical Program in Liberal Medical Education (PLME).
Dr. Youn also completed a Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship for medical students at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, which provided him an opportunity to experience clinical research first hand at an academic medical center. At that time, he performed research in advanced neuroimaging techniques (both volumetric analysis and diffusion-weighted imaging) in traumatic brain injury patients.
