Taryn Meade MA

Taryn has worked in global medical device and pharmaceutical product development for 6+ years. She has held responsibility for biocompatibility programs at Hospira, Pfizer, and Fresenius Medical Care, to support the development of the device, pharmaceutical, and combination products.

Taryn earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a Pre-medical emphasis and a Master’s degree in Bioethics from Trinity International University. She is a member of the Association for Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) Biological Evaluation committee and an active participant in the development of the ISO 10993 series of standards. In her current role at Fresenius Medical Care, Taryn has oversight of the biological safety of globally developed, high-risk medical devices, and is responsible for the integration of chemical and biological testing and toxicological risk assessments to meet regulatory requirements.
