Tarun Mittal MBBS, MD, FRCR is a full time Consultant Radiologist based at Harefield Hospital (Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust), which is a regional centre for heart and lung diseases and internationally renowned for heart and lung transplantation.

As such, I specialise in imaging and diagnoses of heart and lung diseases particularly with CT (Computed Tomography) and MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scanning. Besides I perform non-invasive vascular imaging using Doppler, CT and MRI angiography. My areas of interest include cardio-vascular risk assessment using CT coronary calcification, imaging of patients with chest pain, heart failure, valvular heart diseases, cardiomyopathies, pulmonary hypertension, diseases of the lungs and mediastinum, aneurysms, dissection and other congenital and acquired diseases affecting vessels. I am also proficient in ultrasound and CT guided interventional procedures of the chest.
