Tariq Ahmad, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Section of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine and the Yale-New Haven Health System. He focuses on the care of patients with advanced heart failure, left ventricular assist devices, and cardiac transplantation. His clinical training began at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston. During that time, he was awarded a fellowship to get a Masters in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. Next, he completed a fellowship in general cardiology and advanced heart failure at Duke University Medical Center. He also completed a 2-year fellowship in cardiovascular research at the Duke Clinical Research Institute, the world's largest Academic Research Organization.
