Tarik Akar MD, PhD

Dr. Tarik Akar is a Born in 1977. He graduated from Cerrahpasa School of Medicine, Istanbul University in 2000. After attending the residency education at the Department of Internal Medicine, School of Medicine, Ankara University from 2000 to 2004, he was awarded the title of “Internist” in 2004.

After passing the Internal Medicine Fellowship Exam in 2008, Dr. Tarık Akar started his fellowship at the Gastroenterology Clinic of Ankara Numune Teaching and Research Hospital and was awarded the title of “Gastroenterologist” in 2011. He had his conscription at Zonguldak Atatürk State Hospital between 2011-2013 and started working at the Gastroenterology Clinic, Department of Internal Medicine, School of Medicine, Bulent Ecevit University in 2013. Currently, He is a gastroenterologist at Hisar Intercontinental Hospital.

He attended the “Advanced Endoscopic Procedures” course at the School of Medicine, Korea University for 2 months from March 2018 to May 2018. He completed his training on the most advanced procedures in the field of Gastroenterology like POEM, ESD, STER, and POETRA.
