Tareq Mohammed Massimi MD

Tareq M Massimi, MD, is a board-certified vascular surgeon, board-certified general surgeon at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, and Assistant Professor of Vascular Surgery at Georgetown University. As a vascular specialist, he uses medical therapies as well as minimally invasive endovascular or surgical therapies to improve the quality of life of each patient. His main clinical and research interests include aortic dissections and limb salvage procedures.

Dr. Massimi received his medical degree from the University of Jordan and completed his internship program at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his residency program at the University of Massachusetts, Berkshire Medical Center and his fellowship program at Eastern Virginia Medical School.

Dr. Massimi focuses on providing personalized care that results in the most efficient treatment and recovery plan for his patients. In order to decrease the impact of surgery, Dr. Massimi seeks the least invasive treatment options that will deliver the best results, allowing his patients to return to their normal activities as quickly as possible.
