Taralyn has served as a teacher of physical education and a head coach for multiple sports for 35 years. In addition to teaching, Taralyn was a District Content Specialist for new professionals and a Coordinator for Professional Development for Health and Physical Education. Taralyn was intimately involved in curriculum design and served on the District Planning Committee for two 10-year terms. Taralyn received her National Board Teacher Certification in 2009 and was selected as 1 of 13 educators across the nation to work in Washington, DC on the Physical Education Standards Revision Committee (2011 and 2012).

She currently works as a consultant with the National Board for Professional Teachers. Taralyn completed her National Adapted Physical Education Certification (CAPE) in 2008. Taralyn has served in numerous leadership roles through Missouri Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, Central District Society for Health and Physical Education of America, and SHAPE America. Taralyn is the current President of the Missouri Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance.
