Tara Henrichsen MD

Tara L. Henrichsen, M.D., is a consultant in the Department of Radiology and the Division of Breast Imaging, with a joint appointment in the Division of Ultrasound and Intervention in the Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Henrichsen earned her B.S. degree at Iowa State University and her M.D. degree at the University of Iowa. She completed residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in cross-sectional radiology/breast imaging, both at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine.

Dr. Henrichsen's research and clinical focus is on breast imaging, thyroid imaging, as well as breast and thyroid image-guided intervention. Dr. Henrichsen is active in education and mentoring, previously serving as program director for the Mayo Clinic Radiology residency and fellowship programs. In recognition of her work, Dr. Henrichsen has received awards and honors, including the Carmen Award for Educational Excellence and being named a Senior Fellow in the Mayo Clinic Academy of Educational Excellence.
