Tara L. Henrichsen MD

Dr. Tara L. Henrichsen, M.D., is a consultant in the Department of Radiology and the Division of Ultrasonography, Department of Radiology, with joint appointments in the Division of Breast Imaging and Intervention and Division of Computed Tomography. Dr. Henrichsen holds the academic rank of assistant professor of radiology, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. Dr. Henrichsen earned her B.S. degree at Iowa State University and her M.D. degree at the University of Iowa. She completed a transitional internship at Iowa Methodist Medical Center followed by a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in cross-sectional radiology/breast imaging, both at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. Henrichsen has a clinical focus on neck and thyroid ultrasound including intervention and percutaneous ethanol injection therapy. In addition to her clinical activities, Dr. Henrichsen is active in education and is currently the program director for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program, Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education.
