Dr. Tanya Gure, MD is section chief of geriatrics at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Tanya has extensive experience in completing and supervising clinical evaluations of older adults in a variety of clinical care settings. Gure academic background is in health services research and program development both serve as the foundation of Gure's expertise in chronic disease epidemiology, clinical case adjudication, as well as survey and Medicare, claims-based data analysis. Tanya has been a co-investigator on the Systolic Blood Pressure Intervention Trial (SPRINT) since 2012, where Tanya explored the complex relationship between cardiovascular comorbidity and the presence of geriatric syndromes (such as falls, cognitive impairment) in health outcomes. Tanya has been a co-investigator with faculty in the departments of Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, Pharmacology, Hematology-Oncology, Neurology, and in the schools of Nursing, Public Affairs, Public Health, and Social Work.
