Adj Assoc Prof Tan graduated with his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Edinburgh, UK in 1998. He obtained his membership of the Royal College of Physicians, UK in 2001. Adj Assoc Prof Tan completed his fellowship in Cardiac CT and Rehabilitation at the Stanford University and Northern California, US in 2005 and has been a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore since 2005. Adj Assoc Prof Tan is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School and Clinical Tutor at the National University of Singapore, Yong Loo Lin Medical School.
