Tan Loong MedSc, MD, MRCOG

Dr. Tan Yiap Loong received his MD from the of University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2001. He worked as a registrar in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sarawak General Hospital from the year 2002 to 2006. He then furthered his training in the United Kingdom under the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG, UK) Sponsorship Programme and passed the MRCOG Examination in 2007. He returned to serve as a clinical specialist in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Sarawak General Hospital in 2008.

In 2011, he pursued his interest in urogynaecology and was included in the Ministry of Health Malaysia Urogynaecology Subspecialty Program. He spent a year abroad as a Fellow in the Division of Urogynaecology and pelvic Floor at the internationally renowned Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Lin- Kou, Taiwan during his training. In 2014, Dr. Tan joined Kuching Specialist Hospital as a resident consultant.

Dr. Tan Yiap Loong's interests include general obstetrics and gynecology, female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery (laser vaginal surgery, pelvic organ prolapse, female incontinence, incontinence surgery), and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Tan has published more than 30 papers in International SCI Journals
