Tammy Lyn Kindel MD, PhD

Dr. Tammy Kindel is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She received her medical training at the Ohio State University and completed a general surgery residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital/Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. She then completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at the University of Nebraska. She has a Ph.D. in Pathobiology and Molecular Medicine with a particular interest in the hormonal changes induced after bariatric surgery that are responsible not only for sustained weight loss but also improve multiple medical problems, including type 2 diabetes.
