Tamara G. Bavendam, MD am the program director of Women’s Urology. My program supports clinical, translational, and basic research projects about the functioning of the lower urinary tract in both children and adults. Studies investigate the etiology, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of clinical disorders—for example, urinary incontinence, interstitial cystitis, overactive bladder, and urinary tract infections, including acute and chronic cystitis.
