Taku Fujiwara PhD

Taku Fujiwara is Professor of Pediatric Dentistry, at the Nagasaki University Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.He was born in Osaka, Japan. He graduated from the Osaka University Faculty of Dentistry, and started his career at the department of Dental Research of the National Institute of Health Japan, in Tokyo.

In 1986, he came back to Osaka University Dental Hospital as Clinical Staff of Pediatric Dentistry. After receiving his PhD degree from the Osaka University in 1990, he moved to the department of Oral Microbiology. He also studied as visiting fellow at the department of Infection biology, Max-Plank Institute for Biology (Tübingen, Germany) for one year. In 1994, he became Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Osaka. In 2002, he received the position of Professor in the Nagasaki University Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
