Takeshi Murakoshi PhD

Dr Takeshi Murakoshi obtained his medical degree from Niigata University School of Medicine (Japan) in 1988. He completed his Obstetric & Gynecology training and obtained board certified diploma in 1994 and also received the degree of PhD in 1996. His post-graduate qualifications include the Diploma of the Faculty of Japan Society of Perinatal and Neonatal Medicine, Board Certified Senior Fellow of Japan Society of Ultrasonics in Medicine, and the Diploma of Japanese Board of Medical Genetics. Dr Murakoshi also completed his training in Fetoscopic Fetal Surgery Program under the supervision of Dr Quintero in Tampa, Florida.

He has started the first fetal surgery programme for Twin-twin transfusion syndrome in Japan and has established the Japan Fetoscopy Group and fetal surgery consortium in Japan. He has also been an Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) instructor in Japan. His special interests include the management of twin pregnancy, Twin-twin transfusion syndrome, fetal diagnosis and therapy, fetal imaging, and operative delivery.
