Symme W. Trachtenberg MSW, LSW

Dr. Symme W. Trachtenberg, MSW is the Director of Community Education at CHOP Symme has focused her 35-year career at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia on working with and on behalf of children, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities and/or chronic illness and their families. Much of her work is focused on supporting families as they navigate the transition from pediatric to adult health care. In addition to her role at CHOP, she has been a member of the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy & Practice.
