Swati Rane Levendovszky has been an Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) since 2025. She is the Director of the Hoglund Biomedical Imaging Center (HBIC), a University cost-center providing cutting-edge technical MRI, photon-counting CT, and EEG services to researchers in and around the University. The primary focus of her research lab is the development of a clinically feasible, targeted imaging and end-to-end analysis pipeline for functional and anatomical imaging to improve the diagnostic capabilities of MRI. Specifically, she develops novel perfusion imaging approaches to better understand cerebrovascular pathology for all major MRI platforms.
Levendovszky's research is currently funded by the National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, Philips, Radiological Society of North America. Past funding includes the Michael J Fox Foundation and W. Garfield Weston Brain Institute, and the Alzheimer's Association. She has received several competitive awards, such as the Elliot Newmann Society Scholar Award and the Charleston Conferences on Alzheimer's Disease Young Investigator Award.
