Suzanne Larson, Pharm.D. is the Director of Experiential Education at Midwestern University College of Pharmacy in Glendale, Arizona (2011 – present). She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Creighton University. Larson currently serves as the course coordinator for all Introductory and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences, as well as didactic courses, Introduction to Pharmacy Practice and Grand Rounds – Clinical Pearls and Peer Feedback. She has provided multiple presentations at the state and national levels including ASHP midyear, ASHP National Pharmacy Preceptors Conference, APhA, AACP, CE Impact, McKesson ideaShare, and the Lilly Conference for Evidence-Based Teaching and Learning. In addition to serving on the steering committee for the Midwestern University Clinician Educators Program, she assisted in creating and delivering content for CE Impact Learn to Teach in Practice: A Curriculum for the Clinician Educator.
In 2015, she was included in a group of educators that was awarded the Award of Excellence in Experiential Education Award by AACP. She is regularly involved in organizing, facilitating, and teaching various state and local preceptor development workshops. Her interests include preceptor development and quality in Experiential Education. Additionally, she is a member of the AACP Health Care Ethics SIG and is an active member of the Health Care Ethics SIG Teaching Pharmacy Ethics Committee.
