Suzanne Chong, MD, MS is an assistant professor of radiology and director of the Emergency Radiology division. She completed her fellowship training in abdominal imaging at the University of Michigan and was supported by an NIH K30 grant to complete a master of science in clinical research and statistical analysis at the School of Public Health. Her clinical interests include imaging of traumatic injuries in adults and children and nontraumatic emergencies in women and children.

Her research focuses on the comparative effectiveness and diagnostic performance of imaging tests for urgent and emergent conditions, radiation dose management, and quality initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and appropriate imaging utilization in the emergent setting. She is a member of the Emergency Management Executive Committee and the Institute for Health Policy Innovations (IHPI) at the University of Michigan.
