Suzanne Belinson BA, MPH, PhD

Suzanne Belinson, Ph.D., M.P.H, is the Executive Director, Clinical Markets at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (BCBSA). As the Executive Director for Clinical Markets, Dr. Belinson leads the business development and operations for the clinical platforms launched out of the Office of Clinical Affairs. Specifically, since October 2015, Dr. Belinson has led the Evidence Street, a platform focused on increasing transparency and efficiency for the prioritization, publication and update of evidence opinions with application in local payer coverage determination. In addition, in part of the leadership team in the Office of Clinical Affairs she focuses on the development of emerging programs and services that enhance clinical effectiveness for the independent BCBS Plans.

Before joining BCBSA, Dr. Belinson served as a NIH Clinical Cancer Fellow at Northwestern University where her work focused on community based interventions and screening and diagnostic test development. Dr. Belinson developed and tested community based models for cervical cancer screening with both domestic and international applications. Dr. Belinson continues to serve as adjunct faculty at Northwestern University. Dr. Belinson received her bachelor’s degree from Cleveland State University, and a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also holds a Masters in Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh.
