Susie Norrish has spent the last 11 years working as a mental health nurse, specialising in the area of eating disorders. She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings and her previous role was clinical services coordinator of SEDS Inpatient Unit at Flinders Medical Centre.

Susie's main clinical role as clinical practice consultant involves managing the triage of referrals to SEDS, planning and delivering therapeutic groups, and delivering education to clients, parents, and carers. She also has a number of community clients that she sees to monitor both physical and mental health issues. She is passionate about working with young people and their families to ensure early access to services. There is strong evidence to suggest that early intervention supports better outcomes and reduces the likelihood of a severe and enduring eating disorder developing.
