Sushma Srikrishna

Miss Sushma Srikrishna is Consultant Urogynaecologist and Obstetrician who trained at the University of Bombay [Mumbai] Medical School and qualified MBBS in 1993 and MD in 1998. She moved to the U.K. in 1999 to pursue her interest in urogynaecology. Under the aegis of Professor Linda Cardozo she completed her research training and subsequently sub specialty training in urogynaecology obtaining accreditation as a subspecialist in 2010.

Following her appointment as a Consultant Obstetrician and Urogynaecologist she continued to develop her interest in all aspects of urogynaecology including conservative and surgical treatment of stress incontinence, the patho-physiology and pharmacological treatment of detrusor overactivity and the management of urogenital prolapse.

She has published widely in the field of urogynaecology and presented in several regional, national and international meetings. Her main research interest is in the achievement of patient orientated goals in pelvic floor dysfunction surgery.

She is a on the research meetings committee of the British Society of Urogynaecology and a member of the International Continence Society and the International Urogynaecology Association.
