Susanna Shin, MD is an assistant professor in the Division of Vascular Surgery. Her specialty is the treatment of diseases of the blood vessels of the body. She treats diseases of blood vessels throughout the entire body.
She completed her vascular surgery training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, one of the largest and well-known training programs in the country. She is board certified in general surgery and vascular surgery. She previously practiced at Georgetown University Hospital prior to joining the UW Department of Surgery.
Dr. Shin is grateful for all of her excellent training in Norfolk, VA for her General Surgery residency and her fellowship in Pittsburgh, PA. She is particularly interested in surgical education and mentoring future physicians and surgeons. Due to her particular interest in training our future generations, Dr. Shin is the site director for the surgical residents at Valley Medical Center.
