Susan Williams White PhD, MS

Susan Williams White directs the Psychosocial Interventions Lab in the Department of Psychology at Virginia Tech. My research broadly addresses issues related to the identification of transdiagnostic processes underlying developmental psychopathology, and interventions to address such processes. With my students and my colleagues in the US and abroad, I am involved in several studies that are united in an effort to improve quality of life outcomes for young people with autism spectrum disorder and other forms of neurodevelopmental disorders. I also have a longstanding interest in the phenomenology and treatment of co-occurring anxiety in people with ASD, and evidence-based assessment approaches.
