Dr. Susan Whiting is Professor of Nutrition in the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition, University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Whiting conducts research on dietary influences on bone health, effectiveness of nutrient supplements, vitamin D status, and food security. She is a member of several funded research teams including Scaling-up Pulse Innovations for Food and Nutrition Security in Southern Ethiopia (IDRC), Quality of Life in Long-term Care in Saskatchewan (SHRF), and Development of innovative therapeutic food products for treating malnutrition (Global Institute for Food Security). She is a member of the steering committee of the Canadian Health Measures Survey, the Scientific Advisory Board of Osteoporosis Canada, and the International Institute for Bone Health
