Susan Went MCSP, MBA, MPH

Susan Went, MCSP, MBA, MPH, is Company Director at Nerissa Healthcare Consulting Ltd. A Quality Improvement Fellow at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, she is a nationally recognized improvement expert with experience in designing and leading complex whole systems improvement programs at the national, regional, and local levels.
Ms. Went has a background as an NHS Clinician, Service Manager, and Executive Director as well as several years as a Department of Health Policy Lead, posts with the Medical Royal Colleges, and a stint as Director of Evidence and Improvement at Healthcare Improvement Scotland. She holds a clinical qualification in physiotherapy, an MBA from Nottingham, and an MPH from Harvard. Ms. Went speaks regularly on conference platforms and has published in Clinical Medicine, for the National Care Forum and the Health Foundation, and in textbooks for improvement practitioners.
