Susan H. Davide RDH, MS, MSEd

Professor Susan Davide currently serves on various college-wide activities, and her contributions include program development of an impending Associate in Science Biotechnology degree, Faculty Grants Liaison, and working closely on initiatives with the Director of Sponsored Programs here at City Tech. Prof. Davide served as Interim Chairperson for the Health Sciences department, overseeing and collaborating on program, personnel, and budget matters, in the pursuit of City Tech's mission, while also encouraging research, scholarship, teaching, and professional and university service (2022-2023).

Davide served for over 12 years as Preclinic Coordinator in the department of Dental Hygiene, first-year dental hygiene students' introductory theory and clinical instrumentation, and in first and second-year clinical care instruction. Prior to NYCCT, she was a Clinical Assistant Professor at New York University's Dental Hygiene Department.

Davide received her Associate in Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Hudson Valley Community College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from Queens College, and a Master of Science degree in Environmental and Occupational Safety and Health from Hunter College. In addition, she obtained a second Master of Science degree in Education from Queens College and has Permanent Certification in Education.

Prof. Davide is an active member of numerous associations and highly values “giving back” and life-long learning to continue the enhancement of the profession through active involvement in activities such as mentoring, volunteering, community outreach education, in addition to serving on department and college committees. She continues to maintain clinical practice and is passionate about patient care. Her interests include instrumentation, infectious diseases, infection control and asepsis, mentoring, community service, teaching methodology, and calibration. She has presented at local, national, and international professional events.
