Dr. Susan Dorman is a professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her areas of clinical expertise include infectious diseases. Dr. Dorman received her undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Trinity College. She earned her M.D. from Duke University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and performed a fellowship in infectious diseases at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Prior to joining Johns Hopkins in 2001, Dr. Dorman held several positions with the NIH Laboratory of Host Defenses. Dr. Dorman’s research focuses on the development and evaluation of new diagnostic tests for tuberculosis.
