Dr. Susan Wolver, MD, FACP, FOMA, is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Medicine and serves as Medical Director of the VCU Medical Weight Management Program within the Department of Family Medicine and Population Health. She is a board-certified physician with advanced expertise in internal medicine, obesity medicine, and patient-centered chronic disease management.
Dr. Wolver is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and the Obesity Medicine Association (FOMA), reflecting her commitment to excellence in both general internal medicine and specialized care for patients with obesity and related metabolic health conditions. In her clinical practice, she focuses on comprehensive weight management strategies, lifestyle modification support, and evidence-based medical interventions to help patients achieve sustainable health goals.
In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Wolver is actively involved in medical education and mentoring learners across undergraduate and graduate levels. She contributes to curriculum development, faculty engagement, and interprofessional collaboration aimed at improving chronic disease outcomes and promoting preventive health care.
