Suriani Rani MS, PhD, LAc

Suri earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Montana State University where she studied Chemical Engineering. She then worked for NovaBay Pharmaceuticals, a biotech company in Emeryville where she assisted in developing and testing non-antibiotic antimicrobials. While working full-time, she studied massage therapy at Acupressure Institute in Berkeley and at McKinnon Body Therapy Center in Oakland and obtained her certification in massage therapy. Her passion for healing arts continued when she attended Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, where she obtained her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) and recently completed her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine (DAIM). Suri is licensed by the California Acupuncture Board as an Acupuncturist and is certified by the California Massage Therapy Council as a Massage Therapist. By combining multiple modalities of Tui Na, Acupressure, Swedish, Reiki, and Craniosacral with acupuncture sessions, Suri focuses on creating a unique and therapeutic treatment for each patient. Additionally, Suri also sees patients in Lafayette and is part of the administrative team at Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College (AIMC) in Berkeley.
