Suresh K. Mukherji MD, MBA, FACR

Dr. Suresh K. Mukherji, MD, MBA, FACR, received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and M. D. degree from Georgetown University. After finishing his Radiology residency at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, he completed a 2-year Neuroradiology Fellow with emphasis on head and neck imaging at the University of Florida. His past academic positions include being Director of Head & Neck Radiology at the University of North Carolina, Division Director of Neuroradiology at the University of Michigan, and Chair of Radiology at Michigan State University.

He is currently Professor of Radiology at the University of Illinois & University of Louisville, Professor of Radiation Oncology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Rutgers University, Otolaryngology Head Neck Surgery faculty at Michigan State University, and faculty in the Department of Oromaxillofacial Radiology at Texas A&M School of Dentistry. Dr. Mukherji is the Past President of the American Society of Head & Neck Radiology and has served in numerous leadership positions in the Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, and American Society of Neuroradiology. He has been the Principal Investigator and co- investigator on numerous NIH and society grants and has authored over 500 scientific manuscripts, chapters, and editorials.

He has written or edited 15 textbooks and is the Consulting Editor for both Neuroimaging Clinics and Magnetic Resonance Clinics of North America and the Editorial Board of the Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography. Dr. Mukherji is a devoted educator and has been an invited speaker on over 600 occasions on six continents. He was recently honored by being bestowed honorary memberships to the Indian Society of Head & Neck Radiology and the Hungarian Society of Neuroradiology. He is an International Advisory Board Member for the Santiniketan Medical College and Hospital in West Bengal, India, and is an Adjunct Professor of Radiology at the Universitas Airlangga in Surabaya, Indonesia.
