Sukhminder Jit Singh Bajwa MBBS, MD

Dr.Sukhminder Jit Singh Bajwa did MBBS from Gauhati medical college(1998) and MD from GMC, Patiala(2002). Did Senior Residency from GMCH, Sector-32, Chandigarh and working as Professor and Head in the Department of Anaesthesiology and Director Critical Care at Gian Sagar Medical College & Hospital, Patiala He has done fellowship in Emergency Medicine from university of South Florida and Sunny Downstate University of US collaborating with AIIMS, New Delhi. He also did MBA from Punjabi University, Patiala and was awarded gold medal. He worked as member of board of directors for postgraduate medical studies at Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Punjab. He is a PG examiner at various Universities. He has more than 350+ International and National Publications and 8 book chapters. He has attended various zonal, national and international conferences of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care and has presented papers related to his speciality. He has also got a letter of appreciation from SIR RONALD D.MILLER on critically reviewing his standard text book of “Anaesthesiology”.
He received various national awards including “KPR Best Young Anaesthesiologist of India” in 2012. He received National awards for starting Northern Journal of ISA(NJISA) as Chief Editor and also for his contribution in developing Research Methodology module of ISA. Besides being Chief Editor of NJISA and Associate Editor for IJA and JOACP for many years, he is editor in more than 40 international journals. He worked as Secretary ISA Punjab State and Patiala city branch and Secretary RSACP Patiala. He also worked as Governing Council Member of RSACP. Presently, he is serving as a National Governing Council member of Indian Society of Anaesthesiologist.
