Dr. Sukhmani (Suki) Kaur Padda, MD, is a medical oncologist and clinical investigator specializing in thoracic oncology. She currently serves as Professor and Vice Chair of Medical Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Padda’s clinical expertise focuses on the treatment of lung cancer, thymic malignancies, mesothelioma, and neuroendocrine tumors. She is particularly known for her work in phase I clinical trials and targeted therapies for genetically defined subsets of non-small cell lung cancer, including EGFR- and KRAS-mutated cancers.
Her research centers on cancer signaling and the tumor microenvironment, with an emphasis on developing novel therapeutic strategies for thoracic cancers. She is actively involved in national clinical trials and has contributed extensively to advancing precision medicine approaches in oncology.
Dr. Padda completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Akron, earned her MD from Northeast Ohio Medical University, and trained in internal medicine and hematology/oncology at Stanford University. She is board-certified in both internal medicine and medical oncology and is a member of several leading professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Association for Cancer Research.
