Dr. Sujana Movva, MD, is a medical oncologist specializing in the treatment of sarcomas at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. She focuses on diagnosing and treating rare cancers of the bone and soft tissues, including conditions such as soft tissue sarcomas and other bone-related tumors.

At Memorial Sloan Kettering, Dr. Movva serves as an Assistant Attending Physician and works as part of a multidisciplinary care team that includes surgeons, radiation oncologists, nurses, and other specialists to create personalized treatment plans for each patient. Her clinical expertise includes the management of complex sarcoma cases and the development of innovative treatment strategies through clinical trials.

Dr. Movva’s research focuses on discovering new therapies for soft tissue sarcomas that do not respond to current treatments. She has a particular interest in studying leiomyosarcoma and investigating the genetic variations that drive these tumors, with the goal of identifying new drug targets and biomarkers to improve patient outcomes.

She earned her MD from the University of Western Ontario in Canada. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Michigan State University and later pursued a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Movva is board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology.
