Sue Yuan PhD, RN

Professor Sue Yuan has been a registered nurse since 1993. After her 11-year’ clinical career in cardiology services, she was appointed as head nurse in charge of the infectious diseases department in 2005. She has long been engaged in research on infectious diseases, occupational health, and the prevention and control of nosocomial infection. Prof. Yuan is a member of the Academy of Society of Chinese Nursing, Infectious Diseases Nursing Committee, the Chair of the Occupational Health and Infection Control Committee, Society of Hunan Health Management, and the Chair of Infectious Diseases’ Nursing Committee, Society of Hunan Nursing. She has supervised 7 research projects funded by funds at home and abroad and has over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and 8 book chapters. Prof. Yuan is committed to mentoring young researchers and faculty members in their academic careers. She has supervised 19 master's degree candidates.
