Dr Sue Mei Lau is an endocrinologist with an interest in gestational diabetes, hormone disorders in pregnancy, hereditary endocrine cancer, menstrual disorders and general endocrinology.
Sue Mei graduated from Sydney University in 1998 with First Class Honours in Medicine. She completed her endocrinology training at Westmead Hospital and was awarded her FRACP in 2005. She was awarded her PhD in 2009 for research into diabetes in pregnancy conducted at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in Sydney.
Sue Mei also works as a Staff Specialist at Prince of Wales Hospital where she runs a general endocrine clinic and the Hereditary Endocrine Cancer clinic (in conjunction with cancer geneticist, Dr Kathy Tucker). She is a Staff Specialist at the Royal Hospital for Women, Randwick, where she runs a gestational diabetes clinic and is a Physician On-Call. Dr Lau has admitting rights to The Prince of Wales Private Hospital and has a private practice in Suite 20.
