Subodh J. Saggi MD, MPH, FACP, FASN

Subodh is a Physician/Scientist who has had extensive experience in basic sciences, clinical research, teaching and health services administration. He have been running the renal core curriculum for residents in Internal Medicine for more than 10 years at Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH). He have been the Program Director in Nephrology at SIUH for 10 years. He have Managed and Chaired the CQI Programs in Nephrology for the hospital and its private dialysis units.
He is active in various Departments in the hospital and have successfully created a fellowship program with Down State and currently with Columbia in Nephrology. His goals are to make similar programs for education of the health professionals in other areas. Having recently graduated from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, NY, he intend to utilize their teachings in studying health systems in other countries and assist them in developing and educating their pool of health care service providers.
