Subhadeep Dutta PhD

Subhadeep Dutta, PhD, is a Senior Scientist in Discovery Pharmaceutical Sciences at Merck, where he works on enabling drug discovery and development through advanced formulation science and drug delivery research. His work focuses on the design, development, and optimization of delivery strategies to support novel therapeutic modalities, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to translate early discovery concepts into robust, developable drug products.

Subhadeep earned his PhD in Chemistry from Arizona State University and holds a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. His scientific training includes lipid nanoparticle–based delivery systems, targeted drug delivery, and pharmaceutical formulation, supported by strong experience in project management and cross-functional research. In addition to his industry work, he is an active STEM educator and mentor, with a strong commitment to scientific outreach and professional development within the research community.
