Stuart is a clinical nurse specialist in tissue viability at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. Stuart has worked in the field of tissue viability for 15 years in the community, acute care and mental health. He also has a nursing background in colorectal surgery, dermatology and practice development. Additionally, Stuart also teaches on various modules for both the University of Nottingham and De Montfort University. He is currently working on the translation of a book chapter on wound care as part of a University of Nottingham nursing initiative with the European Union. His key areas of interest are quality of life issues around wound care and pressure ulceration, the use of negative pressure therapy, skin tears and pre-tibial haematomas.
