Stuart P. Thomas BMED, FRACP, PhD

Stuart Thomas is an academic cardiologist with a special interest in skills in the treatment of abnormal heart rhythms. He performs catheter ablation procedures for arrhythmias and implants cardiac devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators. His research interests include atrial fibrillation mechanisms and treatment and mechanisms of ventricular arrhythmias. He was Chairman of the Electrophysiology and Pacing Council of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand and a Cardiac Society Board Member from 2009 and 2012. He is a clinical academic at the University of Sydney.
