Dr. Stuart Goldman is Professor of Integrated Medical Sciences at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). Dr. Goldman also currently holds a Senior Associate Psychiatry appointment at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He currently serves as a Facilitator for multiple courses in the College of Medicine, and as an M3 Clerkship lecturer. Dr. Goldman joined the College of Medicine in 2016 after an illustrious career as an educational leader at Harvard Medical School, where he was Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Associate Director and Founding Member of the Academy in Education at Boston Children’s Hospital. Throughout his career, Dr. Goldman has participated actively in a wide range of teaching activities across the continuum of a medical student, resident/fellow, and continuing medical education.

Since 2008 he has served as faculty for Harvard Macy courses in Educational Leadership. He was a member and/or chair of the Psychiatry Residency Training Committee at Boston Children’s Hospital from 1984-2016. He is the recipient of multiple awards for excellence in teaching and mentorship, including; multiple Boston Children's Hospital Psychiatry Awards, the Gerald Koocher Award for Teaching excellence (2012), as a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (2010-present) and as a member of the advisory board of the Harvard Macy Program in Educational Leadership (2009-present). His research efforts include project Director for Characterization of Juvenile Depressive Disorders, outcomes of Juvenile Firesetters, and Genesis of Borderline Character Pathology in Childhood. His deep expertise in psychiatry and medical education will help our residency program move quickly through its developmental stages and hasten its journey to excellence.
