Dr. Carr has been performing remote travel clinics in Yellowknife, Canada every few months since 2005, providing much-needed allergy and asthma services for an under-serviced community.

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Alberta in 1993. He then completed training in both Pediatrics and Clinical Immunology & Allergy at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg and was granted specialty certification by the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada after successfully completing examinations in Pediatrics in 1997 and Clinical Immunology & Allergy in 1998.

During his time in Edmonton, Dr. Carr helped establish and co-directed both the multi-disciplinary Pediatric Asthma Clinic and Eosinophilic Esophagitis Clinic at the Stollery Children’s Hospital, with the latter the first of its kind in Canada. He also served as Director of the Subcutaneous Gamma Globulin Infusion Clinic for children with immunodeficiencies from 2009 to 2016.

Dr. Carr has also been very active in continuing medical education, and also had the pleasure of serving as President of the Canadian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. He has a number of published peer-reviewed articles and abstracts and has co-authored one textbook chapter.

Dr. Carr continues to be a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, the Canadian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and a Member of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
