Mr. Stuart Baddeley BSc Stuart currently leads the Protein Cellular and Structural Sciences department, an early stage platform group that supports both small molecule and biopharmaceutical discovery. His team designs, generates and validates biological reagents for discovery activities and provides 3D structural, biophysical and mechanistic data to understand target-compound binding and mode of action.
Over the last 22 years, Stuart has worked extensively in early-stage drug discovery with expertise in assay design, high throughput screening, structure-activity relationship (SAR), secondary pharmacology, phenotypic assays and assay miniaturisation. Current interests include high throughput protein expression, cryo-electron microscopy, data science and application of machine learning.
