Stijn Vandenberghe MSc, PhD

Dr. Stijn Vandenberghe, MSc, PhD is an Founder of Vandenberghe Cardiovascular Consulting. Originally he trained as an electro-mechanical engineer in Belgium, he continued with an additional MSc in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Ghent, Belgium in 1999. He followed this up with a Ph.D. where he studied the interaction between the heart and implantable mechanical pumps (Ventricular Assist Devices; VADs) via computer models and hydraulic models ('mock loops'). His Clinical Interests are Biomedical Engineering, Medical Imaging, Simulations, Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Lifesciences, and Cell Biology.
