Steven Ustel LLB, LPC

Steven Ustel specializes in Online Brand Enforcement, with a focus on strategy and investigations. Before deciding to join Stobbs, he had built his own IP enforcement and investigations company after various anti-piracy and brand protection roles.

In 2019, Steven published the book Digital Brand Protection, a reference guide for investigating online IP infringement. The aim was to provide a framework for brand owners, in particular SMEs, to protect and commercialize their assets in the digital economy.

Further IP nerd pursuits include trying to create the greatest dedicated brand protection blog in existence (which you can have a look at here) and academic interest in applying the theories and models of criminology to IP crime.

Outside of work, Steven enjoys chilling with friends, reading, writing, graphic design, cooking, football, rugby, and most importantly – spending time with his family.
