Steven Shamah MD

Dr. Steven Shamah, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist and advanced endoscopist at Northwell Health, where he serves as Director of Endoscopy at Lenox Hill Hospital and is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Zucker School of Medicine. He specializes in advanced therapeutic endoscopy, endoscopic bariatric procedures, and the diagnosis and management of complex gastrointestinal disorders.

Dr. Shamah earned his medical degree from the Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University, completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center, and pursued fellowship training in Gastroenterology at Lenox Hill Hospital. In addition to his clinical practice, he is actively involved in research focused on innovative endoscopic techniques and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in the field of gastroenterology.
