Steven C. Bonawitz MD, FACS

Dr. Steven Bonawitz is Head of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Cooper University Health Care. His areas of clinical expertise include general plastic or reconstructive surgery and microvascular surgery, including free flap breast reconstruction after breast cancer, breast reduction and cosmetic surgery of the breast.

His clinical interests also include craniomaxillofacial surgery, head and neck reconstruction after cancer, and general cosmetic surgery. Dr. Bonawitz specializes in treating women who have had problems or unsatisfactory results after past breast reconstruction or who were never offered breast reconstruction during their breast cancer treatment.Dr. Bonawitz also has an adjunct appointment with the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine where he is involved with the vascularized composite allotransplantation program
